context on the “services” culture of the Federation Gateway

One sees here the operations culture – and why there is so MUCH legacy notions in interworking.


So, we built ourselves our own MSC (out of the same “Geneva” library that they built them).

And we do remember using the “Microsoft Services Manager” – the provisioning tool for RPs wanting the right to invoke ws-fedp on the MFG. Of course, this seems to have evolved into an OAUTH provisioning services – at least for the LiveID (and perhaps the vectored organizational IDs).
