Azure Mobile services on xamarin.ios (build on windows using visual studio)

A couple of gotchas to be aware of:


Use the info.plist to set the SDK/OS level – if targeting an older iphone model, say.

Then, note one has to explicitly set the deploy option, shown above. Choose Configurations… so as to get the screen shown.


Then, one MUST choose the adhoc mode of (remote xcode) building. And, I suspect, this means that xcode has to have been setup for adhoc device provisioning, too. While the app will deploy to the phone in ‘debug” configuration , it fails….
