Latin squares; swap


In older indicator systems, folks used latin square “cards” to communicate the settings.

Concerning latin/greek/magic/pan-magic squares,  genetic algorithms can be applied:

Here is my video of a run. The mechanism is particularly interesting because of its “swap” operator, of course – so relevant to permutation group theory.

We can update the post a little, to reference something I half remember reading once before and thinking it excellent but only as instruction on how to think about analysis.
